Manitoba,Canada -Tahucampur -May 13, 2010: -- According to Statistics Canada, “truck driver” is the most common occupation of Canadian men... More than 250,000 Canadians earn their living as a truck driver. More than 269 000 trucks crossing the Manitoba-US border every year, exporting and importing billions of dollars of goods. Eighty percent of trade between Manitoba and the U.S. are traded delivered by truck and together the two countries trade more than 300 billion U.S. dollars worth of goods annually. About every three seconds a truck crossing the border. Overall, the trucking industry contributes 890 million U.S. dollars of GDP in Manitoba. Each week, more than 612 000 trucks on major highways in Canada... Interestingly, commercial vehicles are involved in just second 4% of all traffic accidents, tractor trailer in less than 3%.
