Goods transporters demand 50% cut in toll tax and other taxes
Karachi,Pakistan -The Daily Times -20 Aug 2008: -- The transportation of export shipments as well as cargo to local markets has come to a complete halt due to strike of goods transport... The goods transport went on an indefinite strike on Tuesday taking a stand for their demand of a 50 percent cut in toll tax and other taxes besides reduction in diesel price... According to industrialists and traders in the local market, the industry and business have started feeling the pinch of the strike as the movement of goods to and from Karachi has totally stopped for the second consecutive day...
