Truckers went on strike a fortnight ago to call for better freight payments and help replacing old vehicles among other demands... Talks this week with the government to lift the protest stalled over a final point on contracts and freight costs, but negotiators managed to hammer out an agreement on key demands at the presidential palace in Bogota... The minister called on drivers with the Colombian Truck Drivers' Association or ACC to start working over the weekend to clear backlogs at the ports and other transportation points, which had begun to cause food supply disruptions...
