CLEAN TRUCKS * USA - ATA Spreads Word To Its Members, Ports Have Different Take

Long Beach,CA,USA -The Cunningham Report -14 Aug 2008: -- The Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Long Beach will be accepting applications for clean truck concessions through Sept. 28, even if the courts do not approve a temporary injunction enjoining the ports from implementing their plan, according to a blast fax sent by the American Trucking Associations to its Intermodal Motor Carriers Conference members... The ATA is suing the ports in an attempt to block their plans to require that any drayage company wishing to service port terminals apply for and obtain a port concession and agrees to abide by a number of equipment and operational requirements...
