Highways chiefs have been told to take "swift and effective" action to curb the impact of noisy lorries rattling through a Hampshire village at night

Residents living near the Marchwood Industrial Park say they are enduring sleepless nights because of a continuous stream of heavy goods vehicles trundling past their homes... Campaigners have already staged protests at the Park entrance on Normandy Road and are planning a summer of action to make their voices heard... Now they have been joined in their fight by Hampshire County Councillor David Harrison, who has called on highways bosses to step in...
