Washington,DC,USA -Transport Topics -14 July 2008: -- The national average pump price of diesel fuel rose 3.7 cents to a record $4.764 a gallon, the Department of Energy said Monday... Crude oil hit a record over $147 Friday before settling over $145 a barrel, near a record closing price on the New York Mercantile Exchange... Diesel’s pump price reached $5.026 in the California sub-region, which DOE breaks out separately from its five national regions, just 0.1 cent below the level reached on May 26...
