INFRASTRUCTURES * Australia - Trucking group urges swift Flinders Hwy upgrade
Queensland,Australia -ABC Regional Online -April 24, 2008: -- Queensland Trucking Association chief executive officer Peter Garske says truck drivers in the state's north have been waiting a long time for planned upgrades to the Flinders Highway... The State Government has announced it will fund a $7.6 million project to seal and widen a 12 kilometre section of the road from Charters Towers to Cloncurry... Mr Garske says the improvements cannot come soon enough... "It demands that our roads are of the highest order"...
