So when they decided to take a leap of faith and start Purtness Transportation in 2006, they had the knowledge and expertise they needed to succeed... Purtness Transportation is a trucking company that can haul freight anywhere in the continental United States as well as parts of Canada... When they began Purtness they had nine trucks in their fleet. Now, two years later, they have more than doubled their trucks. Business has been good, they said... Purtness offers more options then just their trucks. They are also agents for two trucking companies: The BESL Transfer Company and Tyron Trucking. Being agents for these companies allows Purtness to have access to more than 600 trucks, Christina King said. They also offer access to special equipment for hauling oversized loads, David King said... While they plan to grow their business, the Kings said they always want to keep it small enough to maintain the family atmosphere they have now. They don't want their employees to become just a driver with a number...
