Trucking Rule * USA - KCC backs off
Wichita,Kan,USA -AP/Nebraska.TV - February 20, 2008: -- The Kansas Corporation Commission is backing off a controversial interpretation of federal trucking regulations as they apply to farmers hauling grain or livestock to market... That means the stricter regulations need not apply to farmers moving grain or cattle within the state. They only come into play when the farmer's intent is move commodities across state lines... Senator Pat Roberts says he is pleased the commission quickly clarified their position. He says this common sense approach is much more practical for Kansas farmers and ranchers...
