* JBS-Swift plans expansion
Greeley,CO,USA -The Rocky Mountain News, by Dave Krieger -February 21, 2008: -- JBS-Swift is expanding its fleet of trucks and will be adding several hundred new jobs in Greeley... The meat company contracts with trucking firms to bring livestock into Greeley beef and lamb packing plants and to take meat from the plant for distribution... Marco Sampaio, a company spokesman, said Wednesday that initial plans are to buy 150 trucks and trailers, based in Greeley, that will be used to transport product from its United States meatpacking facilities...
* Canada - Kolombo Receives a Major Order From Brasseur Transport
Quebec,QUE,CAN -The Earth Times -20 Feb 2008: -- Kolombo Technologies Ltd., announces that Brasseur Transport, a company specialized in liquid products transportation by cisterns trailers, has placed an important order for Kolombo's systems for its vehicle fleet... The order is for 82 units of the TRS-5000 System, developed by Kolombo, that will be installed on Brasseur Transport's vehicles by the end of March 2008... Kolombo was founded in Quebec City in 2000 and focuses its activities on the research, technological development and commercialization of vehicle management, protection and anti-theft systems, in particular for heavy machinery, trailers and commercial merchandise...
