Transport Owners * Ghana - Appeal for new station
Nkoranza District,Ghana -Ghana News Agency/The Modern Ghana -1 Feb 2008: -- Mr Joseph Nyamaah, Vice Chairman of the Nkoranza District branch of the Progressive Transport Owners Association (PROTOA), has appealed to the District Assembly to create a station for cargo vehicles operating in the area to help ease congestion at the main Lorry Station... Mr Nyamaah told that during market days drivers found it difficult to operate at the Station, which was too small to contain both passenger and cargo trucks... He expressed concern about the practice by some of the cargo truck drivers to park their vehicles alongside the main streets in Nkoranza as that posed great danger to school children who crossed the streets to their schools...
