COLD WEATHER * Greece Paralysed - Freak snowstorms leave its beaches and famous sights white
Athens,Greece -The Daily Mail (UK) -18 February 2008: -- Huge areas of Greece have been hit by a freak snowstorm that has left hundreds of villages stranded, closed schools, and caused dozens of flights to be cancelled... Even the sunshine island of Crete was blanketed in snow today as the usually mild country was gripped by a second day of severe winter weather... Schools and university have been shut throughout the country as famous sights like the Acropopolis were battered by blizzards...
