Washington,DC,USA -Transport Topics, by Sean McNally -15 Feb 2008: -- The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has extended its public commenting period for its interim hours-of-service rule for 30 days... The comment period was to close Friday, but in a letter dated Wednesday to Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety, FMCSA Administrator John Hill said he would keep the docket open through March 17... Advocates, along with the group Public Citizen, unsuccessfully challenged the interim rule, hoping to force another revision...Labels: HOS debate
