City looks for solutions to nuisance trucks in residential areasHesperia,CAL,USA -The Victorville Daily Press (Victorville,CA), by HILLARY BORRUD -November 6, 2007: -- With a Municipal Code that allows truckers to park one 18-wheel truck on half-acre properties and up to three on one-and-a-half acres, Hesperia is one of the friendlier places in the Victor Valley for truckers to live... A 2000 ordinance expanded opportunities for 18-wheel trucks to park in Hesperia, but the population of 63,000 at the time has since grown to nearly 90,000... As a result, the Hesperia City Council will discuss several staff recommendations at a meeting today, for an ordinance to tighten commercial truck parking regulations...
