HOS saga continuing with reported Senate meeting regarding Hours of Service
Washington,DC,USA -The Trucker -16 Nov 2007: -- The ever changing Hours of Service saga took another turn Friday when it was learned that the Senate Commerce Committee’s Surface Transportation and Merchant Marine Infrastructure, Safety and Security Subcommittee would hold a hearing focusing on HOS Dec. 6... The American Trucking Associations confirmed that it had been asked to provide testimony at the hearing... It is also expected that John Hill, administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, will be called to testify, sources said... In October, the court granted a stay until Dec. 27 of its ruling, allowing the 11 hours of driving time and the 34-hour restart rule to remain in place until that time...
