Atlanta Ignores Ban * USA - Washes Trucks During Drought
Atlanta,GA,USA -WSBTV.co, by Jodi Fleischer -November 16, 2007: -- Despite a ban on washing vehicles because of the drought, WSB-TV Channel 2 has learned that city of Atlanta truck drivers have been directed to continue washing their trucks at the end of every shift... Channel 2’s camera captured hundreds of gallons of water going right down the drain and it's happening over and over, every single day... Even though Mayor Shirley Franklin said that a dirty car should be a badge of honor, WSB-TV Channel 2 reporter Jodi Fleischer watched for several days as those truck drivers rolled up to this hydrant, hooked up their hoses and begin spraying...
