A Federal Register notice solicits applications for a truck parking initiative for which funding is available under section 1305 of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU)... SAFETEA-LU directed the secretary to establish a pilot program to address the shortage of long-term parking for commercial motor vehicles on the National Highway System... States, metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) and local governments are eligible for the funding available for fiscal years (FY) 2006-2009...
