Thiruvananthapuram,Kerala,India -The Hindu (Chennai,India) -21 Oct 2007: -- The District Administration today said it will confiscate cargo vehicles, if need be, to prevent any disruption of supply of essential commodities in view of the ongoing indefinite strike by truck owners... District Collector N. Ayyppan said the government will invoke the provisions of the Requisition and Acquisition of Property Act, 1981, for such emergency measures... He said the district administration had taken steps to ensure the supply of vegetables, fuel, cooking gas and other essential commodities in view of the indefinite strike...
