* Scania to unveil green engines and trucks

* Serbia - AMS group looks to buy Zastava Trucks
Kragujevac,Serbia -Portalino (Italy) -4 Sept 2007: -- The Russian-Chinese AMS group has expressed interest in buying Zastava’s truck-manufacturing subsidiary... According to unofficial reports, the AMS group, which produces automobile components, would work with the Italian company NAVECO to continue manufacturing two to five-ton capacity trucks at Zastava... Zastava say that AMS is interested in buying the truck sector and the automotive production facilities the most, adding that if the company does acquire Zastava, the factory’s production program will not be altered. Zastava Trucks has been in the privatization process for a long time, and the government announced a tender for a stake in the company’s ownership structure for this fall...

Mumbai,India -Reuters India -Sept 3, 2007: -- ... Greaves, India's top engine maker for three-wheelers, has begun production at its 600-million-rupee plant in Aurangabad... Greaves, which already sells engines to three-wheeler makers such as Piaggio and Atul Auto, plans to tap the growing number of fleet operators migrating to mini trucks from three-wheelers citing cost and ease of operation, he said... The popular one-tonne mini truck was introduced by India's top truck maker Tata Motors Ltd and its success has lured Ashok Leyland Bajaj Auto, Piaggio and Mahindra & Mahindra into the segment... Tata has sold more than 100,000 of its Ace range of mini trucks since its May 2005 launch and is setting up a new plant to raise capacity to 300,000 units...
