* China - Jiangling aiming for 150,000 global sales by 2010
China - Reuters/Automotive World -14 June, 2007: -- Capitalising on the rise in demand from rural areas of China, Jiangling Motors, an affiliate of Ford, is aiming to boost its vehicle sales to 150,000 units by 2010 from 85,214 in 2006... In 2006, Jiangling exported about 7,000 vehicles to the Middle East, North Africa and Russia. Next, the company is planning to enter markets in Europe, the newswire states...

* Mexico - Zhongxing Automobile to build Tijuana assembly plant; exports to US planned
Mexico -Automotive World/Reuters -14 June, 2007: -- Baoding-based Zhongxing Automobile, a Sino-foreign joint venture partnership between Taiwan Unite Leading and Hebei Tianye Automobile Group, is set to commence exports of its SUV and pickup ranges to Mexico later this year... Zhongxing Automobile also aims to be the first Chinese OEM to enter the US automotive market, citing the chairman of New Jersey-based China America Cooperative (CHAMCO) Automotive. According to Pollack, Zhongxing Automobile will export 50,000 vehicles duty-free to Tijuana in Baja California, Mexico...
