* USA - FMCSA limits lighting on trucks, trailers
Washington,DC,USA -Land Line Magazine. by Jami Jones -June 13, 2007: -- Truckers who have auxiliary lights on either side of the three-lamp cluster on their trucks or trailers face violations, thanks to a revision of the lighting regs issued by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration officials... The new reg requires that additional lights on either side of the cluster be at least two times the distance that separates two adjacent lamps in the cluster... The revised regulation stems from a conflict between an earlier version of the FMCSA regulation and guidance issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on a Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard... The final rule is pending...
