Springfield,Ill,USA -WQAD (Moline,IL) -31 Dec 2006: -- State officials say truckers have helped with homeland security by looking out for suspicious activity on Illinois' roads... The Illinois Terrorism Task Force recognized the Illinois Trucking Association and Midwest Trucking Association this month... Officials say the associations have trained more than 16-thousand people in the Highway Watch program since 2004... He says the truckers are "thousands of extra eyes and ears" on highways...
