SALES * Brazil - Vale Buys 300 Trucks From Scania to Expand Output in Brazil

Minas Gerais,Brazil -Bloomberg (Paris,France), by Alan Katz -Dec. 27, 2006: -- Cia. Vale do Rio Doce, the world's largest iron-ore producer, will buy at least 300 Scania AB trucks to be used in an iron ore mining project in the state of Minas Gerais, in Brazil's central highlands... The contract, agreed to "some months ago,'' includes 120 tipper trucks delivered in the past few weeks and at least 180 to be sent in 2007, said Hans-Ake Danielsson, a Scania spokesman. He declined to provide a price for the trucks.
