USA - Still trucking on Agua Fría

Santa Fe,NM,USA -The Santa Fe New Mexican, by Julie Ann Grimm -Nov 2, 2006: -- The city of Santa Fe has banned commercial heavy-truck traffic on the portion of the two-lane artery inside its boundaries since 1992. That portion is called Agua Fría Street... The traffic study, conducted Sept. 18, found most drivers on the road are exceeding the posted speed limit. Hernandez lives along the stretch on which they drive fastest, between Lopez Lane and Jemez Road, where Baca said about 85 percent of cars average 43 mph. The posted speed limit there is 35 mph. The limit for other parts of Agua Fría is 25 mph... (Photo by Amiran White / The New Mexican: Heavy truck traffic on Agua Fria Street is prohibited by city and county ordinances. However, few people seem to pay attention)
