Australia -SupplyChain Review -29 Sept 2006: -- A Senate inquiry investigating the workforce challenges facing the transport industry is calling for industry submissions... The inquiry into Workforce Challenges in the Transport Industry will look at current and future employment trends with a view to addressing the labour shortage problems... Problems like how to attract a younger workforce and the likely consequences of labour shortages will be considered by the inquiry... The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) will lodge a submission and says the inquiry will bring much needed information about the labour and skills shortages...
