AR,USA -Arkansas Democrat Gazette, by LAURIE WHALEN -June 20, 2006: -- Legal wrangling between two long-haul carriers over truck drivers ended Monday after a federal judge ruled that furthering a recruiting dispute in court would serve no useful purpose. A federal judge on Monday dismissed two motions filed by Stevens Transport Inc. as part of a dispute over driver recruiting tactics employed by J. B. Hunt Transport Services Inc... U. S. District Judge Jimm Larry Hendren, Western District of Arkansas, also rejected J. B. Hunt’s second request seeking a judgment on the matter which accused the Lowell-based long-haul carrier of setting out to destroy its Dallas-based competitor... J. B. Hunt attorneys said the carrier faced a real, on-going dispute with Stevens... But Hendren wrote that the court was not persuaded that a further legal ruling would “serve a useful purpose in clarifying and settling anything between these parties”...
