Australia -Supply Chain Review -21 Mar 2006: -- The decision by governments to reject massive increases in operating costs for the heaviest vehicles is a step towards continued efficiency and productivity, Australian Trucking Association (ATA) Chief Executive Stuart St Clair says... it's an acknowledgement of trucking's role in continued economic success... He says the decision is a result of a substantial industry campaign... Road train operators would have been slugged an extra $7,000 per truck per year under the proposed changes, according to the Australian Road Train Association (ARTA)...
