The PathFindIR module reduces nighttime operating risks for trucks and other commercial vehicles. It uses the same thermal imaging technology used by the U.S. military... The imager creates real-time video by detecting subtle differences in temperature, which the driver views from the in-cab display. In thermal imaging, warm objects appear white and cool objects appear black. This allows vehicle operators to see more than five times farther than with headlights alone...
