Markets - Hong Kong/China - Shares end morning higher led by China stocks
HONG KONG,China -Forbes/AFX -19 Jan 2006: -- Share prices finished the morning session higher on continued interest in China stocks, dealers said. They said speculation regarding a possible unification of China's A and B share markets and reports of PetroChina's plans to issue A shares, along with continuing fund inflows, are driving the sustained interest in China stocks... "Apart from the (lead on) unification of A shares and B shares, China stocks were also supported by rumours that the Chinese government will allow foreign investors to invest directly in A shares next month", said Jackson Wong, investment manager at Tanrich Securities...
