"Forbes" - USA - Trucking firms make “America’s Best Big Companies” list
NEW YORK,NY,USA -Forbes/Staff Logistics Management -Jan 19, 2006: -- Seven trucking companies made the Forbes Platinum 400 list of Best Big Companies in the United States... The companies on the list were selected based on financial performance compared to their industry peers, and analysis of their accounting, governance, financial condition, and earnings quality... The trucking companies included are:
* Arkansas Best Corp: Arkansas Best, whose largest subsidiary is ABF Freight System Inc., makes the list at rank #207—its sixth year as a Forbes Platinum 400.
* C.H. Robinson: With sales of $5.3 million, C.H. Robison lands #142—its fourth appearance.
* The Hub Group: Rank #11 puts the Hub Group as the highest ranking trucking company on the list in their second year earning mention.
* J.B. Hunt Transport: JB Hunt pulls in at rank #25 in its fifth year as a member of the Platinum 400.
* Landstar System: At rank #31, Landstar makes its seventh consecutive appearance on the list.
* Pacer International: Ranked #234 on the list, this is the company’s second year on the list.
* Werner Enterprises: Werner earns #194 and makes the Platinum 400 for the seventh consecutive year.
