TRUCKING JOBS * USA: Loses 6,800 jobs
* DC - March was the first month since June 2013 the industry has failed to post a gain
-- The weakening U.S.A. economy spilled into the job market in March. Overall, employers added only 126,000 jobs — the fewest since December 2013 — snapping a streak of 12 straight months of gains above 200,000... But what gain there was didn’t extend into-hire trucking lost, which lost 6,800 jobs. It was the first time since June 2013 the industry has failed to post a gain, and that month the for-hire trucking market was flat from the previous month, when the industry lost 800 jobs... The Labor Department said Friday that the U.S.A. unemployment rate remained at 5.5 percent...
