Tooele,UTH,USA -The Standard Examiner -Nov 01, 2014: -- A double-trailer semi truck toppled in high winds on Interstate 80 Saturday afternoon... There was a high wind advisory in the area, with winds gusting in excess of 80 mph across the interstate at mile post 78. A combination of the winds and the high-profile, unloaded trailers caused the semi and trailers to partially tip. The semi and trailers came to rest facing almost directly north-south, blocking the eastbound travel lanes. Utah Highway Patrol troopers were on scene with heavy-duty wreckers, trying to move the trailers and open the freeway... Later, there were reports that a second semi rolled near mile post 83 and two pickups with trailers have rolled near mile post 87... All high profile vehicles were strongly encouraged to wait in Wendover or Lake Point until the high wind advisory is lifted, which should be about 10 pm tonight, according to the National Weather Service...
