* Illinois - Police: Some truck drivers staying on the road too long

Rockford,ILL ,USA -WIFR, by Whitney Martin -Nov 12, 2014: -- It's a problem some say is plaguing the trucking industry and could be putting our safety on the line when we're on the road. Illinois State Police say some drivers are staying on our highways too long illegally... Right now, there's a federal push to change the way truck drivers record their time on the road. Police say some drivers are spending too much time behind the wheel and are forging time sheets to say they're within regulations to make more money... Part of our safety on Stateline highways could be in the hands of semi-drivers, some not taking federally mandated breaks, potentially making their 80,000 pound trucks lethal weapons...
