* Virginia - Volvo Trucks, back rolling with economy, sets decade-high sales goal

They say truck demand is back and Volvo is poised to count the most sales it has in years... The news comes on the heels of two major announcements this summer as Volvo said it would invest $69 million in new equipment and hire 200 additional workers at the Dublin facility... Volvo invoiced more than 30,000 trucks in North America in 2007, back before the economic slowdown. The following year, about half as many trucks rolled off the assembly line. The numbers bottomed out below 10,000 in 2009 and stayed below 20,000 until 2011... Employment numbers at the Dublin facility mirrored the changes in production. The plant once had more than 3,000 employees, but the workforce eventually shrank by about two-thirds...
