* Michigan - Chrysler will perform update pickup trucks to solve programming problems

Auburn Hills,MICH,USA -The Christian Science Monitor, by Tom Torbjornsen -June 2, 2014: -- Chrysler said it will perform an update on some Ram 1500 and 2500 pickup trucks to fix problems from software glitches. Chrysler said the problems affect the trucks' remote access, keyless entry, and tire-pressure monitors... Chrysler will perform a free update to some Ram 1500 and 2500 pickup trucks to resolve a handful of problems stemming from programming bugs... The customer satisfaction campaign is not an officially mandated recall. It affects the vehicle's remote access, tire-pressure monitor system (TPMS), and some starting issues... Chrysler engineers have come up with a software fix for this problem. The truck's radio frequency hub module must be flashed with new software to correct the problem. The repair will be covered under the provisions of the new car warranty...

Farmington Hills,MICH,USA -Transport Topics -4 June 2014: -- Medium-duty truck maker Hino Trucks has partnered with technology supplier Telogis to provide its next-generation telematics platform... The new platform, named Hino Insight 2.0 powered by Telogis, will provide Hino customers with access to Telogis’ applications for route optimization, real-time work order management, truck-specific navigation, telematics and mobile integration services, the companies announced June 4... Insight 2.0 will be standard on Hino’s 2015 model year 195h and 195h-DC hybrid cabover models. It will be available as an option for its 195 and 195-DC diesel cabovers and on Hino’s full conventional truck lineup...
