Frankfurt,Hesse,Germany -Reuters/WSJ/Chicago Tribune (USA), by Andreas Cremer, Edward Taylor; Harro ten Wolde;and Keiron Henderson -February 4, 2014: -- Volkswagen is considering raising its stake in Swedish truck maker Scania , the Wall Street Journal's website reported late on Tuesday, citing financial sources... VW and MAN , which is controlled by VW, together hold large stakes of voting-strong A shares in Scania under Sweden's dual share system, giving them nearly 90 percent of votes in the company with about 60 percent of capital... Industry analysts have said it would be very unusual for Volkswagen to buy out minority shareholders when they already control a company via its manaagement and supervisory board...
* Turkey - TMSF puts truck-maker BMC on the block for TL 985 million

Ankara,Turkey -Cihan Beta -4 Feb 2014: -- The Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) announced on Tuesday that BMC, one of the largest truck and bus manufacturers in Turkey, is up for sale with an estimated value of TL 985 million... The auction will be held on April 10... The announcement was made public via the Official Gazette along with the auction details. Accordingly, initial bids will be submitted in sealed envelopes and a committee will then decide the companies eligible to proceed to the next round. The final phase will be to determine the winner through open bidding...
