* NSW gets closer to port privatisation, warnings sounded on fee structure

Sydney,NSW,Australia -Transport and Logistic News, by Charles Pauka -October 23, 2012: -- Legislation has been passed in the NSW Lower House to enable the 99-year lease of state-owned port assets Port Botany and Port Kembla... Treasurer, Mr. Mike Baird, said proceeds from the transaction will be invested in the NSW Government’s infrastructure fund, Restart NSW, with 30 per cent of funds reserved for projects in regional areas. The government has also committed $100 million of the proceeds for spending on infrastructure projects in the Illawarra region...
