The first Meritor Trailing-Arm Air (MTA) suspension -- a 23,000-lb. capacity top-mount mode – goes into full production this fall. It will be followed by five other top- and low-mount models with capacities up to 30,000 lbs... Technology highlights for the new air-ride includes a patented pivot bushing designed to provide a soft ride while also offering firm lateral control for good roll stability and better tire wear; larger shock absorbers specifically tuned for the MTA, and a new axle wrap design that cuts weight while improving durability...
