* UK - 18 April: Williams Group announced the acquisition of St. Maries River Railroad Company ("STMA"). Based in St. Maries, ID, STMA transports forest products between Plummer and Bovil, ID. Terms were not disclosed.
* España - 20 April: Grupo Transcoma announced the acquisition of Yats Help. Yats Help provides port assistance services from its base in Spain. Terms were not disclosed.
* Canada - 20 April: Descartes Systems Group Inc. announced the acquisition of Imanet for $6.0 million. Based in Windsor, Imanet provides software solutions that enable freight forwarders and customs brokerage companies to communicate with the Canada Border & Security Agency.
* UK - 23 April: Technis International Plc announced the acquisition of 51.0% of Professional IT (Logistics) Ltd. Professional IT provides professional management software solutions for the executive hire, chauffeur and courier industries. Terms were not disclosed.
* Ukraine - 29 April: Intertrans Holding announced the acquisition of the remaining 24.2% of CJSC Intertrans. Based in Kiev, CJSC provides freight forwarding, export/import by rail and automobile transport services in the Ukraine, CIS countries, Europe and Asia. Terms were not disclosed.

* China - 16 April: RFID Invest AG announced the acquisition of InSync Software, Inc. Based in San Jose, CA, InSync provides software solutions that control RFID, GPS and sensor technologies to locate and track assets. Terms were not disclosed.
* Italy - 16 April: Mid Industry Capital SpA and management announced the pending acquisition of Mar-Ter Spedizioni S.p.A. for $36.5 million. Based in Italy, Mar-Ter provides international air, ocean and ground freight forwarding services.
* USA - 22 April: Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation, a portfolio company of Trident Capital, LogiSpring, Boston Millennia Partners, CMEA Ventures and RRE Ventures, announced the acquisition of International Forwarders, Inc. ("IFI"). IFI provides export freight forwarding and customs brokerage services from its base in Charleston, SC. Terms were not disclosed.
