London,UK -Road Transport, by Kevin Swallow -8 January 2010: -- DAF Trucks recorded its highest-ever market share in 2009, despite registrations for all commercial vehicles dropping 36.2%, according to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)... The firm held its position as the biggest seller of vehicles 6.0 tonnes and over, registering 8,317 units throughout 2009... Mercedes-Benz held onto second place with 4,219 units, increasing market share to 15.1%, with Volvo Trucks third, registering 3,100 units... Hino registrations dropped 83.1% to 100 units, MAN's fell 51.1% to 2,865 units, and Volvo Trucks by 50.3%...
