Truck drivers across the North America suffer !!! ...
Columbus,OH,USA -Today's Trucking News (CAN) -17 Aug 2009: -- In a recent survey released by the Ohio-based Trincon Group of consultants, about 50 percent of truck drivers say they don't feel duly respected either. Indeed, the truckers told the survey, which was conducted at truckstops across the continent, they feel downright undervalued... While the survey showed that about only 30 percent of the truckers “didn’t make enough to meet their needs,” most (about 65 percent) say they’ll stay in their current jobs until something better comes along... The Trincon Group’s, Bill Kistner, said the survey sparks a call for several adjustments to the trucking business, including higher standards for hiring; allowing drivers to have more home time; more proscribed career paths; keeping drivers in the informormational loops; compensating driver for longevity and outstanding performance; more mandatory training and feedback...
