STIMULUS FUNDS * USA - Levin To Push Tax Credits For Big Hybrid Trucks


Ann Arbor,MICH,USA -Michigan Radio, by Tracy Samilton -17 Aug 2009: -- Michigan Congressman, Sander Levin, has introduced federal bills to help companies buy more big hybrid delivery, beverage and garbage trucks... His bills would double the current tax credit to buy a big hybrid truck, and extend the credit for five years... Currently the credits range from three to nine-thousand dollars... The federal government recently granted 45-million dollars to a group that includes Eaton Corporation. The group will develop and deploy 378 plug-in hybrid vehicles for city and utility truck fleets around the country...
