Duluth,MN,USA -The Duluth News Tribune by John Mianowski-January 20 2009: -- Any commercial driver’s license holder has received considerably more training and is held to a much higher standard than any non-commercial motor vehicle operator... That said, within any group there are some who are better drivers and others who are not. On average, though, commercial truck drivers are much better drivers than their four-wheeled counterparts... It isn’t always easy to keep 80,000 pounds of truck exactly where you’d like it to be on the road. Drivers of much smaller and more nimble vehicles would be well advised to give trucks all the space they might need... Every driver should take a commercial drivers’ training course. Their eyes would be opened wider than they could imagine. If anyone thinks truck drivers are bad, they should see what people in four-wheelers do on the road!...
