* UK - 1 Sept: DX Group Ltd. has acquired the In-Night and Parcel Exchange Worldwide licensing operations of Business Direct Group plc. Based in Rugby, UK, In-Night and Parcel Exchange provide a virtual network of 4,000 automated intelligent drop boxes, as well as parcel exchange services. Terms were not disclosed.
* Brazil - 1 Sept: Tegma Gestão Logística S.A. has acquired Ctv Ltda. for $89.3 million. Based in Bairro Batistini, Brazil, Ctv Ltda. offers vehicle and freight logistics services.
* Italy - 2 Sept: Intesa Sanpaolo SpA has acquired 33% of Alis Aerolinee Italiane Spa. Alis Aerolinee is an airfreight cargo company based in Italy. Terms were not disclosed.
* India - 2 Sept: Great Offshore Ltd. announced the pending acquisition of Rajamahendri Shipping & Oilfield Services Ltd. and KEI-RSOS Maritime Ltd. for $36.1 million. Based in Hyderabad, India, both companies provide maritime services including offshore support, single point mooring operations and port management.
* UK - 2 Sept: Centrebus Limited acquired a bus operation from Woods Coaches Limited. Based in Wigston, UK, bus services included 140 Leicester to Rugby and 58 Hinckley to Market Harborough. Terms were not disclosed.
* Italy - 3 Sept: Furtrans Holding has acquired 68% of Petrolifera Tankers SpA. Based in Italy, Petrolifera Tankers, which specializes in crude oil transportation, had TTM revenue of $20.9 million.
Strategic Buyers - US Domestic Deals
* USA - 2 Sept: Matson Global Distribution Services has acquired Pacific American Services LLC. Based in Oakland, CA, Pacific American provides logistics and public warehousing services. Terms were not disclosed.
* USA - 8 Sept: Radiant Logistics, Inc. has acquired Adcom Express, Inc. for $11.1 million. Based in Edina, Minnesota, Adcom provides transportation and distribution services for freight forwarding in the U.S.
* USA - 8 Sept: Emerald Waste Services, LLC, a WHI Capital Partners portfolio company, announced the pending acquisition of Waste Management Inc. of Florida's various collection routes in northern FL. Terms were not disclosed.
Financial Buyers
* USA - 1 Sept: Pine Creek Partners and the management team announced the pending acquisition of Lydall Transport, Ltd. for $3.6 million. Based in Glen Allen, VA, Lydall provides paper, base metals and beverages distribution. Lydall had 2007 revenue of $20.3 million.
* USA - 2 Sept: LLR Partners Inc., FT Ventures and the management team of Fleet One Holdings LLC have acquired Transplatinum Service Corp. Based in Nashville, TN, TransPlatinum offers fuel/advance cards, net payroll/settlement cards, check service programs and accounts receivable funding services. TransPlatinum had TTM revenue of $50.4 million.
* France - 3 Sept: Groupe IDI, IDI Mezzanine, FCPR, Axa Mezzanine Fund I L.P., Acto Mezz and the management have acquired World Freight Company. Based in Roissy, France, World Freight is a cargo general sales agent representing airlines in 19 countries. Terms were not disclosed.
* USA - 3 Sept: Televenture has acquired 20.5% of Wireless Matrix Corp. for $13.9 million. Based in Reston, VA, Wireless Matrix provides mobile resource management and software application to enterprises with service fleets. Wireless Matrix had TTM revenue of $35.6 million.
