Sydney,VIC,Australia -Transport & Logistics -12 Aug 2008: -- The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has released a practical guide to help trucking companies better prepare for the new greenhouse reporting system... Under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting System, trucking companies are required to lodge reports with the Government, if they purchase more than 2.59 million litres of diesel or use diesel exceeding the amount of 2.95 million litres in 2008-09 fiscal year... ATA chairman Trevor Martyn said a majority of companies with the equivalent of 20 B-doubles would need to produce reports... Mr Martyn said the reporting system includes a rule for interstate trucking companies to mitigate confusion over calculating diesel consumption for multiple jurisdictions...
