COMPLAINS * Australia - Trucks hit our roads

Wollondilly,NSW,Australia -The Wollondilly Advertiser -26 Aug 2008: -- Wollondilly can expect an extra 93,750 truck movements per year on our roads from November... The extra 370 trucks will begin daily return trips along Appin and Picton roads when the Port Kembla harbour expansion begins in three months... The figures were released as part of the Sydney Wollongong Corridor Strategy, much to the shock of Wollondilly Mayor Judy Hannan and Camden police crime manager Paul Albury... Cr Hannan said this information made the Maldon-Dombarton rail line more vital than ever... (This photo was snapped in Appin by Cr Norman Jew - Too many trucks: Police are concerned that an extra 370 trucks per day on Appin and Picton Roads could lead to more fatal accidents)
