Truckers rate * USA - Best and Worst roads, drivers
TX,USA -Truck News -February 17, 2008: -- Highways in Texas and the four surrounding states figured prominently in the annual survey of best and worst roads in the U.S. by Overdrive, a trucking industry magazine for owner-operators... Among the five states drivers say have the worst roads are Louisiana (No. 1), Oklahoma (No. 3) and Arkansas (No. 5). Texas was rated the state with the best roads... Interstate 10 in Louisiana, I-40 in Oklahoma and I-40 in Arkansas were rated among the four worst highway segments in the nation. I-10 in Texas was rated No. 3 in the nation for best highway segment... I-40 and I-30 in Arkansas and I-10 in Louisiana were rated among the four most-improved highway segments... Auto drivers often complain about the driving of commercial truckers, but in this survey truckers rated auto drivers. Texas was mentioned as having some of the worst auto drivers (No. 5) but also as having some of the best (No. 1)...
