INFRASTRUCTURES * USA - Trucking association applauds roads budget, urges funding avenues

Harrisburg,PA,USA -The Central Penn Business Journal, by Jim T. Ryan -6 Feb 2008: -- The Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association (PMTA) today applauded Gov. Ed Rendell's budget announcement that included money to repair the state's roads and bridges... The association, which represents the trucking industry in Pennsylvania, stands behind increasing the fuel tax or modernizing the oil franchise tax as means to pay for infrastructure repair... Rendell yesterday unveiled a $28.3 billion budget. It includes a stimulus package with more than $700 million in spending over the next three years to repair the state's infrastructure. That includes about $264 million in the coming fiscal year...
