George King had the eco-truck long before Wal-Mart did. Ran his rig on liquefied natural gas

Chatham,Ontario,Canada -The Chatham Daily News, by TREVOR TERFLOTH -13 Feb 2008: -- The retail giant reached a deal last week with Westport Innovations Inc. to use liquefied natural gas (LNG) on four transport vehicles, in an effort to cut back on emissions... However, King - who drives for Challenger Motor Freight - took part in a project three years ago to run his rig on the technology... The engine offers the same horsepower, torque, and efficiency as the base diesel engine rating it is replacing... King said Challenger asked him and several colleagues to take part in the one-year green project... (Photo by DIANA MARTIN: George King drove his rig for a year and produced zero emissions after it was fitted with liquefied natural gas technology as part of a test run)
