Winter Weather * USA - Plagues truckers across northern tier
USA -Land Line Magazine -4 Dec 2007: -- Winter weather has been a big factor for a lot of truckers in the past day or so. And there is not much relief in sight, according to the National Weather Service... In Oregon, winds of up to 120 mph were reported Monday, Dec. 3, as heavy rains hit coastal areas... In Montana, Interstate 90 was shut down Monday morning because of high winds and drifting snow... In the northeast, the weather’s being blamed for at least 14 deaths, most of them from car wrecks, as snow, sleet and freezing rain moved into New England and parts of New York on Sunday... The National Weather Service says as much as 12 to 20 inches of snow is expected to fall in Maine...
